The three things that decide eligibility
GED eligibility in Pakistan comes down to three straightforward checks: your age, your prior schooling, and — if you want local equivalence — the timing gap after Matric.
1. Age
The standard minimum age is 18, with no upper limit — it's never too late. Students aged 16 or 17 can also qualify, but need to complete an official age-waiver process first. If you're in that 16–17 window, tell us and we'll walk you through the waiver.
2. Prior schooling
You need Matric or O-Levels before the GED. The GED sits on top of secondary school — it doesn't replace it. This is a hard prerequisite for the local equivalence route, not a KINDL preference.
3. The two-year gap (for local equivalence only)
If your goal is an IBCC HSSC equivalence certificate for admission to a Pakistani university, the IBCC requires a minimum two-year gap between your SSC/equivalent and your GED diploma. If you're heading abroad, that gap doesn't apply — but then no HSSC equivalence certificate is issued at all. This distinction matters enough that we gave it a whole page: read the IBCC equivalence guide.
Documents to have ready
- Your Matric / O-Levels certificate or result.
- CNIC / B-Form for age verification (and for the age waiver, if 16–17).
- Once you've passed: your GED diploma and transcript for the equivalence application.
Eligible — what next?
If those three checks look right for you, the next step is registration and preparation. The step-by-step registration guide shows exactly how the process runs, and the fees page lays out the real costs. Or just book a call and we'll confirm your eligibility in a few minutes.
